What is the Hall of Fame?

According to the Centennial School District website, "The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor those Alumni who have gone on to significant success in life as well as other individuals who have made outstanding contributions in academia, athletics, or in the arts during their tenure at, or association with, the Centennial School District.

The Centennial School District Hall of Fame is comprised of three distinct entities:

  1. Academic
  2. Athletic
  3. Artistic

Induction into one of the Halls of Fame will forever recognize the embodiment of our best. The success of inductees is a reflection of the opportunities provided through the various programs offered by the Centennial School District and a commendation of the district's mission statement: A Diverse Learning Community Where Students Succeed through Academics, Athletics, and The Arts.

Criteria for selection include: Centennial School District academic, athletic, and/or artistic achievement, professional or lifetime academic, athletic, and/or artistic achievement, and community academic, athletic, and/or artistic involvement. While high school performance records and/or accolades are important, they are not exclusive determinative factors. Consideration will be given to those who have displayed noteworthy accomplishments in school and beyond. Nominees must have graduated at least five (5) years, or more, prior to consideration as a candidate for induction into one of the respective Halls of Fame. A candidate, who is not an alumnus, must be an individual (e.g., teacher, administrator, coach, advisor, staff, or volunteer) who through personal endeavor, leadership, and/or sacrifice over a period of years, has made an extraordinary contribution to the success of the Centennial School District's academic, athletic, or artistic programs."

Nominees will be inducted into a respective Hall of Fame under one of the following categories:

Academic Hall of Fame

  1. Lifetime Achievement
  2. Significant Contributions

Athletic Hall of Fame

  1. Lifetime Achievement, or
  2. Athetlic Achievement, or
  3. Coaching Achievement

Artistic Hall of Fame

  1. Lifetime Achievement
  2. Artistic Achievement
  3. Significant Contributions
